Welcome to Cleveland Equine Clinic

Over the years we have grown to accommodate the needs and care of our equine patients. The CEC team currently consists of nine veterinarians with a diversity of special interests to provide the utmost in quality care and treatment. CEC has always been committed to being at the forefront of equine care, diagnostics, and treatment for the horses. State of the art diagnostics modalities such as ultrasound, digital radiography, standing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), endoscopy, gastroscopy, as well as computed gait analysis are utilized by our practice. Innovating treatment options such as platelet rich plasma (PRP), interleukin receptor antagonistic protein (IRAP), stem cell, and shockwave are all offered by CEC.

About Cleveland Equine Clinic

In 2006, Cleveland Equine Clinic (CEC) was formed from the merging of multiple practices from Northeast Ohio into a single clinic and ambulatory practice. Today, CEC provides high quality ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, medical, surgical, and diagnostic services to serve the equine industry.

Welcome Dr. Isabel Brumleve!

Dr. Isabel Brumleve was born and raised in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan in a summer community known as the Les Cheneaux Islands. Less than 20 miles from Mackinac Island, she fondly remembers many summer trips to Mackinac where her horse obsession was sparked by the hundreds of horses that serve as the preferred mode of transportation on the Island. Isabel began taking riding lessons at a young age, which turned into buying an off-the-track-thoroughbred when she was twelve that helped her develop as a better rider and in-turn their partnership took them into the hunter rings throughout Michigan where enjoying many years of showing.

Now Offering: Computed Tomography Scans

Computed Tomography (CT) scan is an advanced imaging modality that allows for imaging of a horse’s anatomical structure including bone and soft tissue. While digital radiography is an excellent imaging modality, it does have its limitations, especially concerning the head and neck regions. Radiographs are produced as two-dimensional images while computed tomography is capable of multiple planes of images. With diagnostic imaging produced in this manner, the lesion is more likely to be identified.

Acupuncture is the use of small sterile needles in areas of nerve bundles, mast cells, and lymphatic drainage. It stimulates beta-endorphin release and has local and systemic effects. It can help alleviate pain, increase circulation, decrease inflammation, and helps support the immune system. In many cases acupuncture can be used
